The largest public sector refiner and oil retailer, Indian Oil Corporation, has reduced aviation turbine fuel prices for both international and domestic flights at New Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai for the period of July 1-16, IOC said on its website.

This is the third straight month in a row that IOC has slashed the ATF price for international flights, but the cut is the smallest this time round at 0.8-0.9%. Its ATF price for domestic flights was reduced by around 2.6-2.8%, wiping out the 2.2-2.5% rise in prices for the June 16-30 period.

IOC's ATF rates for international flights for New Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai are now at $976.84/kiloliter, $1,012.71.75/kl, $968.81/kl and $972.51/kl respectively, for the first half of July.

It's ATF rates for domestic flights are Rupees 56,246.86/kl for New Delhi, Rupees 64,216.28/kl for Kolkata, Rupees 56,964.01/kl for Mumbai and Rupees 60,565.18/kl for Chennai.

Jet fuel at Indian airports is supplied by IOC and fellow state-owned refiners Hindustan Petroleum Corp. Ltd. and Bharat Petroleum Corp. Ltd. ATF rates for HPCL and BPCL were not available, but according to a source at IOC, they tend to be the same across the three companies.

The companies revise their ATF prices at the start of a new month for international flights and on the first and 16th of every month for domestic flights.
