Canadian methanol producer Methanex Monday rolled over its July North American contract price from June at 128 cents/gallon ($426/mt) FOB USG.
After discounts and rebates of 9%, the July contract price was 116.48 cents/gal.
Market sources said the price nomination was in line with expectations. Methanex has kept the contract price level unchanged since February.
Sources expects that US methanol distributor Southern Chemical Corporation will also rollover this week its July contract price of 126 cents/gallon FOB USG from June.
During the last week, the spot methanol price has ranged at 108-109 cents/gallon FOB USG amid thin trading activity.
