US Atlantic Coast gasoline differentials were steady Monday morning in thin trading despite a Sunday fire at Suncor's Montreal refinery, which supplies the New York area.

Premium RBOB for prompt New York Harbor delivery was heard offered at the NYMEX January RBOB futures contract plus 35 cents/gal, unchanged from deals heard Friday, while end-of-December delivery was heard offered at January plus 28 cents/gal, slightly higher than Friday.

Meanwhile, December 28-delivered regular CBOB was heard bid at January plus 0.25 cent/gal and offered at January plus 2.25 cents/gal. Platts assessed regular CBOB at January plus 0.50 cent/gal Friday.

The NYMEX January RBOB contract was trading at $2.7324/gal at 10:30 a.m. EST, down just 2 points.

Production at Suncor's Montreal refinery was not affected by a fire that broke out in the facility Sunday morning, company spokeswoman Sneh Seetal said in an email Monday (See story, 1515 GMT).

The fire struck at Suncor's East Montreal refinery Sunday at about 9 a.m. EST (1400 GMT), according to the Montreal Gazette.
