China's gasoil imports exceeded exports for the second straight month in January as the country stepped up inventory after crunch.

Gasoil imports were 183,300mt in January, sharply down 60% from the previous month; meantime, exports plunged 79% to 95,900mt, according to data released by the General Administration of Customs.

As inventory was accumulating, the January's net imports were 200,000mt lower than December 2010 when supply tightness was seen nationwide.
