According to the monitoring of SunSirs, the cement market in East China has risen recently. The price of cement in East China was 486.20 RMB/ ton on April 8 and 499.40 RMB/ ton on April 15, with an increase of 2.00%. The current price has increased by 5.81% month on month and 6.98% year on year.
In April, the weather around East China improved, the demand for cement gradually increased, the sales volume was excellent, and the cement market showed an upward trend. First of all, the demand for cement has recovered rapidly, the southern region has returned to the normal level, and the northern region has also reached more than 70%. The cement sales are good, and the market led by manufacturers is rising. In addition, affected by the fact that the clinker production lines in Jiangsu, Fujian and other provinces are at the peak shifting stage, cement manufacturers have increased investment in environmental protection and low-carbon production, which has promoted the cement market. Third, the prices of raw materials such as coal and limestone in the upstream have been rising, and the rising cost has also prompted the cement market to rise further.
Downstream: from January to February, the national investment in real estate development was 1,398.6 billion RMB, a year-on-year increase of 38.3%; it was 15.7% higher than that from January to February in 2019, with an average growth of 7.6% in two years. Among them, the residential investment was 1,038.7 billion RMB, an increase of 41.9%. From January to February, the construction area of real estate development enterprises was 7,706.29 million square meters, with a year-on-year increase of 11.0%.
