According to the data monitoring of SunSirs, the domestic SBR market fell slightly last week (3.22-3.26). The price was 14,475 RMB/ ton at the beginning of the week, and fell to 14,441 RMB/ ton at the end of the week, with a slight decline of 0.23%.
Last week, the domestic SBR market was slightly lower, and the manufacturer's offer was stable. As of March 26, the ex-factory price of Jihua styrene butadiene 1502 of PetroChina Northeast was 14,500 RMB/ ton. Within the week, the trading offers were slightly adjusted, and the atmosphere was weaker than before. Last week, the start-up of SBR plants in the SBR industry was stable. At present, Yangzi Petrochemical's 100,000 ton/ year SBR plant still has no start-up plan; Bridgestone's 50,000 ton/ year SBR plant continues to stop; at present, Qilu, Jihua, Fushun and other plants are in normal operation. In April, some manufacturers have maintenance plans, and the inventory is not expected to be under pressure. The overall market transaction is flat.
Butadiene fell slightly last week, styrene prices rose, and the cost side was mixed, which still had support. According to the monitoring of SunSirs, as of March 26, the price of butadiene was 8,424 RMB/ ton, down slightly by 0.20% compared with 8,441 RMB/ ton at the beginning of the week; as of March 26, the price of styrene was 8,366 RMB/ ton, up 3.29% compared with 8,100 RMB/ ton at the beginning of the week.
SunSirs analysts believe that SBR manufacturers have maintenance plans in the later period, and the pressure on the supply side is not great. It is expected that the price of China SBR will rise steadily in the later period.
