South China imported 288,122 tonnes of LPG in November 2011, up by about 23% from the previous month, according to the data from the General Administration of Customs.

Local importers had quite strong buying interest as import margins were remarkable and they expected stronger demand in winter, market sources said.

About 283,000 tonnes of imported LPG reached south China in November, very close to the GAC data, C1 shipping schedules indicated.

Local spot LPG prices slipped in November as importers held abundant stockpiles and demand was weakening, C1 research showed.
