Turkey has introduced antidumping duties on Iranian polystyrene, according to local media reports and a Turkish market source Wednesday.

Antidumping duties of over 11% will be added to the CIF value of Iran's polystyrene exports into Turkey, they said.
Local news sources placed the level of antidumping duties at 11.1%, while a market source told S&P Global Platts that the level was 11.2%.

Turkey's Ministry of Trade could not be immediately reached for comment.

The introduction of antidumping duties on Iranian polystyrene follows an antidumping investigation into Iranian polystyrene launched in the second quarter of 2018.

One Turkish market participant said in December that preliminary results of the investigation showed Iran was selling polystyrene "cheaper than the world market."
