Operation rates of independent refineries in Shandong Province averaged 40.7% on Thursday, up by 1.8 percentage points from a week ago, C1 research showed.
Feedstock shortage affected run rates or restart plans of some of the refineries, in spite of improved sentiment in oil product markets, market sources said.
As of Sep 22, a total of 26 independent refineries were in operation, with daily throughput up by 3,600mt from a week ago to 83,000mt, according to C1 research.
C1's research involves in 32 independent refineries, with annual oil refining capacities aggregating 67.35-mil mt, accounting for 91% of the total topping capacity of Shandong independent refineries.
