Methanex raised its North American posted methanol contract price for October by 3 cents to 119 cents/gal ($396/mt) FOB USG, the company said.
Methanex's rise follows SCC's October contract price announcement which rolled from September at 114 cents/gal ($380/mt) FOB USG, the company said Thursday.
With discounts and rebates averaging 15%, the net contract price for October comes to 96.90-101.15 cents/gal.
Market participants note prices have been falling as market conditions on the Texas Coast improve after Hurricane Harvey.
US spot methanol was assessed Wednesday at 91.25-91.75 cents/gal FOB USG for October and November.
Methanex ranks as the world's largest methanol producer by capacity. SCC serves as the US distributor for Methanol Holdings Trinidad, the largest producer in the Americas at 4.1 million mt/year.
