US-based Koch Supply & Trading will supply Lithuania's state-owned Lietuvos Duju Tiekimas with LNG in 2017, according to a press release from the latter company September 28.

Koch has agreed to supply 2 million MWh (about 138,000 mt/year) in 2017, which will cover around a third of the country's gas demand for the year, according to the statement.

No details were given on where the LNG would be sourced from or the price at which the deal has been agreed.

Neither company was reachable for comment. Lithuania received its term-chartered FSRU in October 2014, allowing the country to begin importing LNG.

Lithuania currently has a supply contract in place with Norway's Statoil, which has been delivering cargoes there since 2014.
