Also known as baptitoxine or cytisinone. Content: 98% (enterprise standard). Derived from the seeds of Sophora alopecuroides (a leguminous plant), it is a yellowish-white rhombic prismatic powder. Clinically, a 0.15% aqueous solution of cytisine is administered intramuscularly or intravenously for the treatment of reflex apnea, shock, asphyxia, and other conditions caused by surgery or trauma. It has respiratory-stimulating, anti-arrhythmic, antibacterial, anti-ulcer, leukocyte-increasing, and strong anti-cancer effects. It is also used in the production of smoking cessation drugs, emergency medicines, and cough suppressants.
