It has marked anti-tumor activity and also exerts anti-arrhythmic, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, and immunoregulatory effects, with action on the central nervous system. Clinically, it is commonly used in injectable formulations for cancer treatment and can also be used in veterinary medicine and as a medicinal feed additive.
