Physicochemical Properties:

Trimethyl Borate is white liquid and stable in dry air, and it is inflammable. It is miscible with diethyl ether, methanol, hexane and tetrahydrofuran. It will be hydrolyzed into methanol and boric acid. It is miscible with ether, tetrahydrofuran, isopropylamine, hexane, methanol, atoleine and other organic solvents.

Function:

It can be used as a solvent, dehydrant and a fire retardant for plastics, paints and spray paints, etc. It can also serve as a fumigant for fruits like lemons.

Packing damages and dampness should be avoided during transportation process. Spark, ignition and inflammable materials should be kept away from it. It should be separated from water containing materials, acidic materials and oxidants during storage and transportation process. In addition, it should be stored in specialized chemical warehouse that is cool, dry and well ventilated.
