ZHEJIANG CHARIOTEER PHARMACEUTICAL CO.,LTD.
was established in 1988. The original name is Zhejiang Xianju Pharmaceutical Co., 3rd Factory, and Zhejiang Xianju Charioteer Pharmaceutical Factory. It is located
about 10 kilometers southeast from the town of Xianju, which is famous of beautiful scenery, and next to the freeway of Jinjiao and Zhuyong.
CHARIOTEER has made great achievements in fields of chemical and pharmaceutical by persistent efforts of experienced, creative chemists with strong background in organic synthesis.
CHARIOTEER is also committed to be a reliable supplier in partner's further market development with qualified chemicals and service. The main product of company is API and intermediates of antiviral drug substances and anti-inflammatory, analgesic, non-steroidal, pharmaceuticals. The output of the production of Naproxen and Acyclovir is the biggest in China.
Charioteer has branch offices in Shanghai, Jiaojiang and Jiangsu. There is also institute and trading company in Shanghai. Chinese GMP for facilities of Naproxen, Aciclovir, Potassium Iodide, Ganciclovir and Naproxen Sodium have been approved since May, 2003, and certificates have been issued by State Food and Drug Administrator. In May 2004, EDQM had carried out onsite inspection of Naproxen and issued attestation of inspection in March 2005. The COS of Acyclovir had been issued by EDQM in January 2005. In July 2004, Investigator from FDA inspected the company, and classified our facility as acceptable in Sept. The company has been inspected for “cleaner production” by Zhejiang Environmental Protection Bureau and Zhejiang Economic and Trade commission in December 2004, and has been awarded the title of “green enterprises”. The company has started out Environment-oriented Cost Management (EoCM) methodology introduced by the Sino-German Cooperation Program in manufacturing process in May 2004. In Nov., 2003, Charioteer had been awarded certificates for compliance with ISO9001 (Quality Management System). In Dec. 2004, Charioteer had been awarded certificates for compliance with OHSAS18001 (Occupational health and safety Management System) and ISO14001 (Environmental Management System). Charioteer has started to introduce SA8000 () in this year.
Through the end of 2004, the company area covered about 60,000 square meters, with a total floor space of 20,000 square meters. There are 350 people employed by the company, more than 90% of workers have the education background, including 82 people who are professionals, 70 people who are engineer and technical workers and 33 people who are work at research and develop. Company has a capital more than 90 million yuan. More than 95% of the products are exported to Europe, USA, Asia and twenty other countries and areas. The good quality of products has been praised by all of the customers.
Manpower planning: Company employs a lot of talented people from Zhejiang University, East China University of Science and Technology, Sichuan University, Lanzhou University and other university every year. Company also employs experience workers from society. Company had made a long training plan for employers. In 2001, company establishes the class for Master of Engineering with East China University of Science and Technology in order to let the workers study the theory on the base of experience and broad theirs visual field, update the knowledge. In company, there is a system to encourage the workers. Many of workers showing themselves and become the backbone of company, many even become the manager and decision-makers.
Science and technology developing: Charioteer has built the friendship with Zhejiang University, China Academy of Medical Science, China Pharmaceutical University and East China University of Science and Technology to make the use of their technique and information. It helps the company to raise the level of research. Five products of Charioteer’s have already been recognized as the high tech in the province. Since 2000 company has turned to focus on developing products of antivirus. Some of them now have been in sail; some have been in test or pilot scale still.
