Licorice Fluid Extract
Details Acid content ≥ 7% (in accordance with the standards of the 2000 Edition Pharmacopoeia). This product is a fluid extract processed from licorice, appearing as a brown or reddish-brown liquid with a sweet taste, slightly bitter and astringent. It is a mild medicine, often combined with expectorant and antitussive agents. It reduces irritation of the pharyngeal mucosa and has antispasmodic effects on gastrointestinal smooth muscle, as well as desoxycorticosterone-like activity. Clinically, it is used for bronchitis, pharyngitis, bronchial asthma, and chronic adrenocortical hypofunction.
